In January 2020, Mike and I attended a Roasting Summit in Portland, Oregon.
The event brought together roasters (big and nano) to discuss heat transfer, fermentation, agriculture and buying practices and how to stay relevant in an ever-changing market.
We also got some hands-on experience with what to look for in defective green beans, cupping and roasting on new devices.
There was a lot of coffee breaks and a lot of connections made. It was a whirlwind of knowledge that we hope to bring back to you through future roasts.
